Q: Can my child attend Stanford if he/she is not fluent in English?

Yes, Students in grades KA-3 are not required to be fluent in English,
but because of the limimted number of ESL spaces in a given grade level, Strong
English skills will increase a student’s likelihood of being accepted.

Q: When should I submit an application for admission?

We accept applications starting May 1st (Elementary) and July 1st (Kindergarten) for the school year that begins the following August (Elementary) and September (Kindergarten). You many complete an online application or visit our office and we can assist you to complete an online application.

Q: Do you accept all nationalities?

Stanford welcomes students with passports for all countries including Myanmar.

Q: Does my child needs to wear uniform?

Students of SCIS have to wear uniform. More information can be found here.

Q: Do you offer any bus services?

We offer bus services to most of SCIS families, fares depending on location once a student has been accepted, we will contact you to discuss arrangements.
